WE WERE WRONG TO THINK HOUSES WERE OVERVALUED
That’s what I take away from the idea of “saving” the financial markets. Houses really were worth that much and would continue to increase in value so massively that we would all be able to buy jumbo jets just by sitting on a house for 15 years.
Essentially that’s the idea because every plan for “fixing” the economy revolves around getting it back into the shape it was when it started to crash down around us. I for one, am opposed to digging out foundation stones in order to repair the decorative mantelpiece.
